The VAN and our Programs
The VAN Statement of Purpose:
These Valparaiso University alumni, Guild, and parent volunteers assist the Admission Office with recruitment programs and activities as they work together to meet annual new student enrollment goals, recruiting future alumni who will sustain the traditions and excellence of Valparaiso University.
Alumni and friends of Valparaiso University have a distinct connection to Valpo through their own experiences. Sharing their Valpo knowledge during the college selection journey can be helpful for prospective students and parents!
The Valpo Admission Network (VAN) offers volunteer opportunities where you can share Valpo facts and stories. The time you invest is controlled by you:
- Cover College Fairs
- Refer a Student
- Be a High School Liaison
- Waive an Application Fee (sign page 6 and print off the application)
- Share Valpo Stories
- Host Area Receptions
Informal training is provided through monthly email newsletters, this website, Admission Office mailings, and interaction with the admission counselors and VAN Director.
