College Fair Assistance

So you'd like to represent Valparaiso University at a college fair in your area? When admission counselors are unable to attend a fair - or, if they need help at a fair that they anticipate will be very busy - the fair invitations are passed on to the VAN director. This past fall VAN members represented VU at 150 college fairs!
When fair sponsors charge a large fee for the college to be present, we must (in most cases) decline the invitation. Much research and discussion goes into such a decision, as we must be mindful of the University's budget while working towards our enrollment goals.
Approximately two weeks before the fair we will ship a box of materials to the first VAN member who signs up for the event. This box includes:
- Brass namebadges for VAN representatives (keep yours for future events).
- Profiles (our recruiting brochure).
- Reply cards and pens.
- Table copies of catalogs and viewbooks.
- List of Majors and Crusader stand-up table decorations.
- Table banner.
- Three-ring binder with fair guidelines, VU Fast Facts, FAQs, and a single copy of our key recruitment brochures.
- Postage Paid reply mail label (or UPS return mail sheet).
- The very important College Fair Evaluation Form!

Covering college fairs as a VAN member is one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to give back to the University. You can help us out by calling your local high school to find out when this year's fairs will be held. Then please call (toll free 888-468-2576) or email admissions.network@valpo.edu with this information or ask the high school to mail the invitation to:
