Valpo Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa Hosts Visiting Scholar

Thomas Rawski, an expert on China’s economic history, speaks at Valpo in February as part of the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholars Program. Rawski, a professor at the University of Pittsburgh, presented “China’s Economic Explosion: Echoes at Home and Abroad.” A chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest honor society recognizing excellence in liberal learning, was installed at Valpo in 2004.
