VU Women Victorious over BGSU
Written by WVUR Sports
Thursday, 20 November 2008

A year after falling by 25 points to Bowling Green State, Keith Freeman's ladies made amends at the ARC Wednesday.  The 69-58 win started the Crusaders off 1-0.  Leading the way in the opener was Aggie Kulaga, who scored 22 points and played all 40 minutes for the Brown & Gold.  Aimee Litka added a double-double, scoring 17 points and pulling down 12 rebounds in just 29 minutes.  Up next, the team heads north to Central Michigan over the students' Thanksgiving Break.

Crusaders Check Knights For 17 Point Win
Written by Adam Amin
Wednesday, 19 November 2008

What was to be, on paper, a tooth & nail matchup, turned into a blow out. The Crusaders took a 9 point lead into the half and rolled in the 2nd, blasting the Central Florida Knights by a final of 69-52. Valpo was lead by Urule Igbavboa’s 15 points and 14 rebounds while Michael Rogers added his own double-double with 10 points and 11 boards. As good as the offense was, it was the Valpo defense that took center stage. The Crusaders held UCF to 5-27 from three point range and just 30% from the floor. Valpo moves to 2-0 heading into the Paradise Jam.
