Accelerated Option

Nursing students receive instruction in the Virtual Nursing Learning Center.

The Accelerated Option is designed for transfer students who have general education and science credits and for individuals seeking a second degree. 

Minimum Criteria for Admission into the Accelerated Option:

  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA in previous college course work.
  • No grade of less than a C in any science course.
  • A minimum of 57 transfer credits.

The curriculum can be completed in as little as 15 months. The time frame is applicable to students who have completed all prerequisite study and begin the program during Summer Session I, which begins in May. If students have not completed all prerequisite courses prior to starting the program or choose to start at another time, the program length will vary.

Chemistry 4 cr. Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II 8 cr.
General Psychology 3 cr. . Microbiology 4 cr.
Humanities 3 cr. Human Nutrition 3 cr.
Child & Adol Development 3 cr. Electives 12 cr.

Physical Education (waived)

1 cr. Human Experience 10 cr.
Statistical Methods 3 cr.
