Construction Zones
During the 2006 and 2007 construction seasons, major improvements are scheduled for many highways in the greater Chicago area. Interstate highways 80, 90, 94 and 294 are among those where travelers may be delayed by construction.
No roads will be closed due to construction, but if you will be traveling through a construction area, you may wish to consider alternate routing or allow extra time for traffic delays. Extensive construction is underway on the section of Interstate 90/94 in Chicago commonly known as the Dan Ryan Expressway running from approximately 15th Street south to the intersection with Interstate 57.
The following links provide current information about several construction projects. Prospective students and their families wishing additional information about travel conditions and alternative routing may call the Office of Admission at 1-888-GO-VALPO. Alumni planning a visit to campus may call the Office of Alumni Relations at 1-800-833-6792.
