All students have access to E-mail and the Internet twenty-four hours a day in the numerous computer labs within the residence halls and academic buildings. Each dormitory room has access to the campus-wide network and Internet.
Library Services:
Extensive collections of books and media resources are available to students, including international newspapers and magazines. Friendly and knowledgeable staff helps students research texts and multi-media resources. The library staff also provides a special orientation for international students.
Career Center :
Offers a variety of services including career advising and assessments, resume critiques and job databases. Come here at any time to begin your career search.
Writing Center :
Assists you in interpreting texts, getting ideas, researching, organizing, revising, editing, and proofreading assignments.
Student Union Center :
This student center serves the student body through activities, events, and services which include a variety of dining options, the Information Desk, The Round Table, study lounges, meeting rooms, computer lab, and a host of special events in the Great Hall. Come here to play Billiards, meet a friend for ice cream or study in one of the lounges.
Cafeterias:
Four cafeterias on campus offer meals and refreshments throughout the week and weekends. All cafeterias offer vegetarian options.
Areas of Interest:
Athletics and Recreation Center (ARC):
Free access to aerobic and weight training equipment, tennis, racquetball and basketball courts, swimming pool and running tracks. Participate in organized sports and tournaments and meet many new people who share your athletic interests.
Center for the Arts (VUCA):
Houses the Brauer Museum of Art, theaters and concert halls. You can take music and voice lessons, or watch the myriad of activities throughout the year.
Astronomical Observatory:
Powerful telescope to view the stars. Open to students and the public throughout the school year.
Campus Radio Station:
The student-run radio station hosts a variety of music and sports programs including updates on campus events. Listen from your dorm room, car or off-campus apartment.
Cultural Centers:
Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center:
As a hub of German activities and educational programs, the center also serves as a cultural center for all languages and ethnicities equipped with classrooms and conference rooms.
International Student House :
The house provides a common meeting place for both international and American students outside the classroom. The international student association (VISA) sponsors social events at the house including cookouts, movies, coffee hours, and many other activities.
The House resources include:
- A fully-equipped kitchen with cooking utensils
- A TV/Lounge room
- A Computer Office and study lounge
- Sports equipment and Volleyball net
Martin Luther King Center (MLK):
