On Saturday January 19th, 2008, braving 0 degree
weather, the geography club visited the Maps:
Finding Our Place in the World exhibit at the
Field Museum in Chicago. The exhibit collected together in
one place many of the most famous and most important maps
in the history of cartography include maps by Ptolemy, Al-Idrisi,
Mercator, and Thomas Jefferson.
