C-130 Deputy
for Sustainment, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.
Ms. Allen
is the director of the C-130 cargo transport aircraft, also known
as “Hercules.” Ms. Allen has been responsible for the
cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of existing development
and production aircraft contracts with the United Kingdom, Australia,
Italy, and Denmark. She is now also responsible for upgrades, modifications,
and support to all C-130 aircraft delivered throughout the world.
Ms. Allen received her master in business administration and the
George B. Melano Award for Academic Excellence from Georgia State
University. Other higher education programs were completed at the
Lockheed-Emory Management Institute, Defense Systems Management
College, and the Lockheed Martin Corporate Institute.

John L. Draheim

Before
retiring in 2003, Mr. Draheim served as vice president of administration
and communications for FLAG Telecom Limited in London, England,
where he was responsible for HR, corporate communications, IT, and
administration and property management. He joined FLAG
in January 1999 as managing director for FLAG Atlantic-1, a high-capacity
fiber optic trans-Atlantic cable. Prior to this, Mr. Draheim
was vice president of operations at Ameritech International in Chicago,
during which time he also served as general manager and member of
the board of directors of Ameritech’s joint venture in China
and executive director of the Hungarian Telecommunications Company
(MATAV). Before his four years in London with FLAG Telecom,
Mr. Draheim spent 35 years in the telecommunications industry, having
served in various technical, operations and management positions
at Ameritech, Bellcore, AT&T, and The Ohio Bell Telephone Company.
He holds a master’s degree in management from Pace University
and is also a licensed professional engineer. Mr. Draheim is the
recipient of the 2006 VUAA Alumni Achievement Award.

Stephen A. Furbacher

Mr. Furbacher was named president and chief operating officer of
Dynegy Inc. in August 2005. He is responsible for all aspects of
the operational and commercial activities of Dynegy’s primary
business line, power generation. Mr. Furbacher previously served
as president of Dynegy Midstream Services, as well as president
of Chevron’s Warren Petroleum Company, the natural gas liquids
division of Chevron U.S.A., Inc. He began his career with Chevron
in 1973 as a design engineer at the company's refinery in Richmond,
California. Mr. Furbacher serves on a variety of professional and
community boards and is active in civic organizations.

F. Peter Jenny is currently employed by Cardinal Health. It was ranked nineteenth on the Fortune magazine’s list of the 500 largest U.S. corporations and first in its sector on Fortune's ranking of most admired firms. Formerly, Jenny worked for Unisys and Computer Sciences Corp.

Upon graduation from Valpo, Mr. Johnson joined Turner Construction
Company in their Chicago office as a field engineer. He progressed
through various field and office assignments, including responsibilities
in engineering, field supervision, purchasing, estimating, and cost
and project management before being promoted to senior vice president.
Mr. Johnson holds a general contractor’s license in Florida.
He has received numerous honors, awards, and citations and has had
many technical articles published. He is an experienced speaker
and holds membership in a number of professional organizations.

Kenneth H. Kastman

Mr. Kastman has more than 30 years of experience in environmental
and civil engineering. He has been involved in property reuse planning
and implementation and strategic environmental analysis on many
projects throughout the United States. Mr. Kastman is the author
of more than 30 technical papers and has a bi-monthly column in
the Brownfield News magazine. He received his master’s degree
in civil engineering from Purdue University. He is a licensed professional
engineer in seven states.

Mr. Landry is the founder and chief executive officer of Conquest
Systems Inc., a Washington Techway Fast 50 company with locations
throughout the D.C. Metro area. Conquest Systems Inc. provides information
management and e-business solutions. Before founding Conquest Systems
Inc., Mr. Landry worked for RJO Enterprises, where he led teams
in successfully implementing nationwide executive information system
applications. While with the District of Columbia Office
of the Budget, he developed a decision support system, an executive
information system, and a budgeting system. As senior
consultant for Information Builders Inc. and Associate Consultants,
he led teams on projects for Philip Morris Co. and the U.S. Army.
Mr. Landry recently was appointed a member of the District Capital
Alliance.

David Lange

Mr. Lange earned his M.B.A. degree from Wichita State University in 1984
and his Ph.D. in 1991 from Northwestern University. He is an associate
professor of civil engineering at the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. He teaches in the area of civil engineering materials.
His research focuses upon early-age shrinkage and creep of concrete,
crack propagation, new concrete and masonry materials, as well as
microstructure characterization. From 1981 to 1987 he worked as
an engineer at Boeing Military Airplane Company, Wichita, Kansas.

Mr. Lieske is the owner and manager of CFL LLC Real Estate Management
and Investment. Formerly he served as president and chief executive
officer for BMW Constructors Inc. Mr. Lieske is a past member of
Valparaiso University’s President's Advisory Council. He is a former member
of the American Welding Society and American Society of Mechanical
Engineers. Mr. Lieske also participates in numerous organizations
and community activities.

Andrew N. Nunemaker

Chief Executive Officer, EMSystem
Mr. Nunemaker is the CEO of EMSystem, a company devoted to providing
solutions for managing medical emergencies. He is the former general
manager of GE Medical Systems, where he led a project to change
the entire commercial operations department. Mr. Nunemaker received
his MSEE from Georgia Tech in 1993. He earned his MBA from Harvard
in 1998, where he also served as student body president. He is active
in church and community and serves on numerous boards and councils.
Mr. Nunemaker was a VU Alumni Association Board member from 1999
to 2001.

Timothy W. Paul

Mr. Paul earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering
from MIT in 1978. He retired after working for 22 years in the field
of communications engineering—eight years at Linkabit Corporation,
and 14 years at QUALCOMM, Inc. His responsibilities included design
and development of communication systems for government use, mobile
satellite communications, and cellular systems. At QUALCOMM he retired
as a vice president of engineering. A highlight of his professional
experience was being part of the team that developed a cellular
phone standard based on CDMA technology.

Duane C. Rabe
(BSEE 1976)

Rabe & Associates
For 29 years Duane Rabe contributed as an engineer and technical
leader to Motorola’s success in the wireless industry, for
10 years as Vice President of the Technical Staff. In that time,
he contributed to the architecture, design and development of leadership
cellular phones like the DynaTAC, MicroTAC, StarTAC and RAZR phones.
He was also the chief architect for the world’s first commercial
digital cellular phones. Rabe received Motorola’s highest
awards for technical impact (Dan Noble Fellow) and creativity (Master
Innovator) and served as a member of Motorola’s Science Advisory
Board. He has been granted 25 patents, with several more pending.
Duane received a BSEE degree from Valparaiso University and MSEE
degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is president of Duane Rabe & Associates, a private consulting practice
advising companies on investments in new technologies for wireless
communication.

Gary L. Rosenbeck

Mr. Rosenbeck is an environmental engineering consultant with McMahon
Associates and has served McMahon Associates as a design/build contractor
and manager of the water supply and water treatment group. He has
continued course work at the University of Wisconsin-Extension and
is a registered professional engineer in Indiana, Wisconsin, and
Michigan. Mr. Rosenbeck has presented professional papers to the
International Ozone Association, American Water Works Association,
and the Wisconsin Water Association. He also has appeared as a guest
lecturer at professional development programs at the University
of Wisconsin.

Robert J. Schickel is employed by Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., a diverse provider of professional technical services. Jacobs offers support to industrial, commercial, and government clients across multiple markets. Services include scientific and specialty consulting as well as all aspects of engineering and construction, and operations and maintenance. Schickel's background is primarily in transportation design and construction. He recently published a paper and gave a presentation at the third New York City Bridge Conference titled "Innovative Floor Beam Replacement Procedures for the Chicago Skyway Bridge." Schickel is active in numerous church and civic activities.

Mr. Schwan retired from United Airlines in 2000 after more than
31 years in technical and management positions. He was manager of
DC10/B777 engineering from 1991 to 1995, during the development
and introduction of the B777 aircraft. He managed an engineering
maintenance business unit from 1995 to 2000. The business unit operated
with a budget of $61M and included mechanics, engineers, planners,
and purchasers.

Craig W. Selover

Mr. Selover is the manager of project engineering and advanced technology
for MASCO Corporation, a manufacturer and installer of building products.
Prior to this position, Mr. Selover served as vice president of
engineering at Delta Faucet Company (a MASCO Company). He also served
as president of the Plumbing Manufacturers Institute. Mr. Selover
is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Society of
Plumbing Engineers Research Foundation.

Mr. Sims earned his M.B.A. degree from Indiana University. He is president
of Sims Professional Engineers, an independent engineering consulting
firm he founded in 1984. Sims Professional Engineers provides design,
analysis, and testing services for small to large projects, from
freight car components to industry-wide programs for the railroad
industry and other heavy industry. Mr. Sims is a registered professional
engineer in Indiana and New York and holds eight U.S. and foreign
patents. He is a member of numerous professional societies and associations
and is president of the Indiana High Speed Rail Association.

Edward Tornberg

Mr. Tornberg earned his master's degree in engineering in 1961 from
the University of Michigan. He is a semi-retired engineering consultant
to Cyberex, Inc., his employer for 30 years. Mr. Tornberg was one
of the founders of the company and vice president of product engineering.
He also advises a small start-up company, which has introduced a
product line of solid-state transfer switches. Previously he held
engineering positions with TRW, Chrysler Corporation, and the Ford
Motor Company Engineering Center.

Kristin E. Yakimow

Senior Director, Global Healthcare Business, Cisco
Ms. Yakimow joined Cisco to lead their expansion into the healthcare industry. She has more
than 15 years of domestic and international experience in marketing,
general management, and new product development in healthcare. Prior to Cisco, she was the vice president of marketing at VISICU,
a telehealth company. Additionally, she has held positions of increasing responsibility at GE Healthcare,
including general manager of marketing for the Americas monitoring
and diagnostic cardiology business, general manager of Asian commercial
operations, global integration manager for new acquisitions,
and general manager of GE’s cardiovascular information systems
business. Ms. Yakimow began her career in new product development at Medtronic. She holds a master of science degree from Stanford University
and a master of business administration degree from Harvard University.

Kim Zeile

Mr. Zeile is president and chief executive officer of his Michigan-based
corporation. He holds six patents, most notably for the Programmable
Vehicle Model and its related multiplexed control system. His staff
of 25 people includes car enthusiasts who have made the company’s
motor sport division a growing presence in the auto racing world.
Mr. Zeile also is a car collector and race car driver.

Larry Zimmerman

Mr. Zimmerman was recently appointed vice president of Black & Veatch. He previously co-owned three firms that merged with ARCADIS, a global engineering firm, in 2004. The firms were Construction Dynamics Group, CDG International and Lewis & Zimmerman Associates. Mr. Zimmerman attended the Harvard Business School-Executive Management
Program and is a certified value specialist. He also is a diplomat
of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. He serves on the Board of Lutheran Fellowship Square Foundation (Owners of five senior housing facilities). He is the 2005 recipient of the VU Alumni Association Alumni Achievement Award. He and his wife Susan (Heitmuller '70) were the recipients of the Valpo Partners in Service Award in 2001.
