Student Clubs

One of our main goals at this values-based university is to motivate students to serve their community. At least 80 percent of Valpo students participate in some sort of service during the year.

The department hosts a campus chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the national communication honor society.

Community service is a component of most campus clubs and organizations, and members have a great time doing it. The Speech and Debate Team, for example, takes its talents beyond competition by sharing holiday readings with patients in pediatric wards.

Our chapter of the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) coordinates networking opportunities with area professionals, including department alumni.

Valpo chapter members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) promote a professional code of ethics and enjoy professional development opportunities.
