Pastor Joseph Cunningham loves having conversations with students and especially enjoys teaching about the Christian faith. He also loves leading worship and is passionate about music (he performs with the VU Bach Choir and Camerata, a semi-professional choral ensemble). Besides Sunday mornings at the Chapel and daily Morning Prayer services, you’ll see him at Sunday evening’s Candlelight services. Pastor C came to Valparaiso University in 1999, where he serves as University Pastor and Dean of the Chapel of the Resurrection. Prior to this he served parishes throughout the Midwest as senior pastor, musician, catechist and minister to youth and campus ministry. His wife Sara teaches fourth grade at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Valparaiso. They have three children, Megan, Ben and Paul.

Pr. Jim and his wife Tracey, an attorney, live in Gary with their three-year old son, Gabriel, and a bunch of cats. He draws a weekly, three-panel comic strip for churches called "Agnus Day."

Associate Pastor Darlene Grega is finding her way around the university, having arrived with the first year students this fall. Look for her at Morning Prayer, sharing responsibilities at the Sunday evening Candlelight service, mentoring church vocation students and being a listening ear for anyone who needs to talk. A Valpo grad, she remembers the spiritual formation she received here and looks forward to being a new face in a crowd that is welcoming and committed to walking with you during your tenure here. By the way, you will also find her walking her Cavalier King Charles spaniel, Muffin, around campus, and keeping up with her son Nathan, a junior at the college of William and Mary.
