Tuition

All Graduate Programs at Valparaiso University are billed per credit hour, not at an annual tuition rate.  This means that for the 2007-2008 Academic Year a student qualifying for the 38 credit MBA Program would pay a total of $21,660 whether their degree is completed in one year or five years.  Please note that tuition per credit hour is typically increased every year or every other year, so the overall cost of the program may increase slightly from the time a program is started until the time it is completed.

For the 2007-2008 Academic Year the tuition cost per credit hours is as follows:

  • MBA Program: $570
  • MEM Program: $570
  • MBA Alumni Program**: $285
  • MBA/MSN Credit 1-27: $500
  • MBA/MSN > 27 Credits: $570
  • Law Tuition Full-Time***: $15,255
  • Law Tuition Part-Time (11.0 or less)*** : $1,196

**Please note that the MBA Alumni Program is for alumni of Valparaiso University's Graduate Programs in Management who wish to come back and take additional electives after completing their initial degree (MBA, MEM, JD/MBA, or MBA/MSN) at Valpo.

***JD/MBA Student charges will be determined by the following:

When a student is enrolled in a mixed course load (i.e. they are enrolled in both Law courses and MBA courses) they will pay the lesser of either the per credit hour rate for the number of credits being taken that semester in each program, or the full-time JD tuition rate for that same semester.  The maximum a student taking a mixed course load will be charged is the one semester full-time JD tuition rate.   A JD/MBA student enrolled in only JD courses or only MBA courses will pay the appropriate per credit hour or tuition amount for the school in which they are enrolled.
