About the Valpo MBA

Your schedule
Flexibility is the hallmark of the Valpo MBA.  If you are a working professional looking for an MBA to enhance your career, our program offers rolling start times throughout the year, compact 7-week course blocks, and the ability to complete a degree in as little as 2 or as many as 5 years.  You can also finish a degree in 12 months by going full-time.

Your focus
In addition to our standard MBA, Valpo offers two areas of specialization: accounting, and a unique Juris Doctor degree offered in conjunction with the Valpo School of Law.

Your colleagues
Valpo MBA students are engaging learners from all walks of life.  Classes are intentionally small for intensive faculty-student mentoring and student-to-student interaction .  Some facts about the composition of the current Valpo MBA class are:

  • 36% women
  • 15% minority
  • Between 27 and 45 years-old.
  • 65% working professionals who attend part-time
  • 35% full time students who attend full-time

Your faculty
You are our faculty’s top priority.  As with our undergraduate programs, classes are intentionally small and all faculty have an “open door” policy to maximize out-of-classroom interaction.  All professors have both PhDs and “real world” experience.

Your environment
All MBA classes and faculty offices are located in Urschel Hall (home of the College of Business Administration) so we have a tightly-knit community focused on professional and personal growth. Urschel is a wireless facility equipped with state-of-the-art electronic classrooms.

You are HERE
Valparaiso University is only an hour’s drive from Chicago, South Bend, and southwestern Michigan (on Central Time).  Urschel Hall boasts plenty of free parking directly outside the building.
