Ceyhun Ozgur

Professor of Information and Decision Sciences (IDS)

Dr. Ozgur teaches in the areas of operations management, business statistics and management science. His research interests are production scheduling, statistical quality control methods and their applications, comparison of parametric and nonparameteric statistical methods, and pedagogical issues in teaching statistics.

Articles written by Dr. Ozgur have been published in many academic and practitioner journals including Interfaces, OMEGA, Production Planning and Control, International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management, International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, International Journal of Business Disciplines, and Industrial Mathematics and Teaching Statistics. In addition to his journal publications, Dr. Ozgur has written several textbook supplements for leading textbooks in Operations Management and Business Statistics. These supplements consist of several study guides, instructor’s manuals and a test bank.

Dr. Ozgur has presented over 20 research papers in national and regional conferences. He is a member of the Decision Sciences Institute, INFORMS and APICS and serves as a member of the editorial review board for International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management, Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education and Industrial Mathematics. Dr. Ozgur is an active member of Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) both at the regional and national levels. He has served DSI in many different capacities including paper discussant, paper reviewer, session chair, track chair and national president of the Decision Sciences and Information Systems Honorary. Dr. Ozgur has also served as a consultant to local manufacturing firms in Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana. He is currently working on a textbook entitled Introduction to Management Science with Spreadsheets: Concepts and Applications. This book focuses on the use of spreadsheets in solving business problems.
