Ways to visit Valpo
- The Personal Visit — Especially for high school students and individually tailored to fit your needs, the Personal Visit enables you to customize your day with individual appointments, which may include:
- A general information session
- Student-led campus tours
- A discussion with a professor or visit to a class
- A meeting with a coach (when permitted by NCAA rules)
- Lunch in one of our campus cafeterias
- Contact your admissions counselor for advice on transportation to campus.

(It is also possible to make an appointment with a bilingual interpreter if this service would help you.) - Saturday Visits — Valparaiso University's Admission Office is open select Saturdays in the Fall and Spring Semesters, including Homecoming and Family Weekends. Generally Saturday visits include a campus tour and information session. Call the office for details at 1-888-GO-VALPO (1-888-468-2576).
- Valpo Overnight Visit — The Valpo Overnight Visit provides all the benefits of a Personal Visit while allowing you to experience life at Valpo by spending a night in a residence hall with a current student. High school seniors can stay with a Valpo host most Sunday through Thursday nights during the academic year; juniors can stay overnight in the spring only. Please call the Office of Admission at 1-888-GO-VALPO or 219-464-5011. Registration is required at least two weeks before your visit.
- Valpo Visit Days — Valpo Visit Days are scheduled group events for high school students . These sessions include a campus tour, lunch in one of our dining facilities, as well as an introduction to the University, our admission process, and financial aid. Registration begins six weeks prior to the Visit Day and will be available online or by calling the Office of Admission at 1-888-GO-VALPO (888-468-2576) or 219-464-5011. Students are also welcome to schedule a personal visit.
- Admitted Students — Destination Valpo Days are overnight events for students who have been admitted to Valpo. You'll have the opportunity to attend a class, tour the campus, and learn about special interests such as extracurricular activities and our 13 study-abroad programs. Students planning to enroll in the College of Arts & Science will meet with faculty members; others attend programs in the College of Business Administration, College of Engineering and College of Nursing. Destination Valpo Days also provide a separate schedule tailored for parents who wish to attend. Register online or call the Office of Admission at 1-888-GO-VALPO or 219-464-5011.

- Transfer Students — Transfer students from other 4-year schools or from community colleges are encouraged to schedule a personalized visit, which will include a meeting with the Transfer Coordinator.
- International Students — International students are encouraged to schedule a personal visit, which will include a meeting with the International Student Coordinator. You may also register for a Valpo Visit Day. (Please see above.)
